KNYSNA NEWS - On 1 October, The Water Club on Thesen Island held its relaunching event, offering free boat trips, kayaking adventures and cycling excursions around the island.
The aim was to provide an unforgettable experience for people of all ages while showcasing the natural beauty and unique personality of the charming town.
A standout moment was a special treat for 60 students from Dr Izak van Niekerk Primary School, who embarked on a spectacular boat trip around the Knysna Estuary, learning about the local ecosystem and the importance of preserving natural environments along the way.
The event also aimed to create awareness and appreciation for the region's natural assets and showcased the distinctive personality of the town, fostering a sense of pride among the local community.
Participants could engage with local culture, connect with the community and discover hidden gems that contribute to the town's unique identity.
