KNYSNA NEWS - A vehicle stolen in Knysna was recovered in Humansdorp within 24 hours this week after great teamwork between various police and security role players.
Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, said the George Vehicle Identification Section is investigating a case of theft of a motor vehicle after a Volkswagen Jetta was stolen in Nobel Street in Knysna Industrial Area between Sunday and Monday, 18 and 19 October.
"Preliminary investigation indicates that the owner parked his vehicle outside his premises the previous night and discovered that it was stolen the following morning," said Spies.
He said the vehicle was recovered when it was stopped on the N2 highway at Humansdorp later on Monday. "Two suspects were arrested and both were transferred to Knysna," he said.
One of the suspects, a 28-year-old man from Mossel Bay, appeared in the Knysna Magistrate's Court this week on a charge of theft of a motor vehicle.
