PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - About 120 early morning dippers frolicked in the sea at Central Beach, Plett, at 05:00 today 1 December - part of the Sunrise Dippers that take to the ocean on the first of every month.

The dip had a dual significance as a large group from the Adopt a Swimmer (in blue swim suits) took to the ocean for the first time.

Adopt a Swimmer is an NGO that takes people unfamiliar with water and swimming to a stage where they enjoy swimming. This empowerment also gives them an opportunity to learn more about themselves as individuals.

Sunrise Dippers Margy Anderson and Maria Vasco from Plett joined in the festive spirit with headgear flashing everyone a  Merry Christmas!
