KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna High School (KHS) science club will be the host of a science show today, Friday 26 October, and want to invite all children as well as their parents in and around Knysna to attend and to get more excited about science.
According to KHS science teacher Caroline Bredell this is the club’s annual event and promises to be very informative. The Inkcubeko Youth and Science Centre from George will also be in attendance with a “show” of their own, Bredell added.
Bredell said learners who attend the show will also be able to play with some science themselves, such as experimenting with magnetism and electricity. “The kids can also don a lab coat and have their photo taken by our photography club students to remember the occasion,” Bredell said – with filters for selfies too. There will also be a stall with more information on the Eskom Expo and what it is all about, with a talk students can listen to.
Bredell said there will be loads more on hand with various science stalls and even “science snacks” on sale.
The show runs from 17:30 to 20:00 and tickets are available at the door. Students pay R30 and their parents R50.
