PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - A total of three vehicles, including a police bakkie, were involved in an accident on the N2 outside Plettenberg Bay towards Gqeberha this morning.
According to reports from the scene of the accident, which occurred at about 10:00 today, 5 January, the police bakkie collided with a stationary vehicle which was pushed into oncoming traffic.
Thereafter another vehicle hit the vehicle that had been shunted into oncoming traffic by the police bakkie.
Both lanes of the N2 were closed and a stop-and-go was put in place by traffic officials until the road was reopened sometime later.
There was a total of five people injured in the accident, but the nature of the injuries is not yet known.
