RHEENENDAL NEWS - Angry residents from Rheenendal have blocked the main street in the area this morning using wheelie bins filled with rubbish.
This action is believed to be in protest against a water crisis that has left the community without water for six consecutive days.
The incident follows a similar protest action on Sunday 11 May, when residents from Nekkies in Knysna resorted to the same tactic, blocking off the N2 highway.
According to trusted sources, the water supply has still not been restored in Nekkies and Concordia.
An official inquiry was sent to Knysna Municipality yesterday, 12 May. A response is awaited and will be published as soon as it is received.
