KNYSNA NEWS - The four minor suspects who allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in White Location almost a year ago appeared briefly at the Thembalethu Magistrate's Court on Monday 19 February.
The suspects were arrested on 10 February last year, just hours after the incident. It has been reported that one of the suspects was caught in the act.
The suspects cannot be named as they were all minors when the incident occurred, but one of the suspects has since turned 18.
Members of the ANC Women’s League were outside the court once again with placards and chanting struggle songs, to show their support for the girl and her family.
The suspects, who abandoned bail a year ago, have been in custody ever since their arrest.
The matter has been referred back to the Knysna Magistrate's Court and is set to be concluded by the end of the month.
