PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - In an attempt to keep Covid-19 at bay among those who protect and serve, two Plettenberg Bay locals sponsored a fumigation effort for the local police station.
The Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association (PBCPA) Chair Sally Turner said the two, William and Astrid Ashurst, were part of the PBCPA executive and fundraising team and that they decided to sponsor a complete Covid-19 fumigation of the Plett police station in the town's centre on Thursday 8 April.
This included all the holding cells, charge office, detective offices, administration section and various other areas of the station.
Turner said the couple also carried out the fumigation personally. "Our motto has always been to help those who help others," they said.
"We are grateful to have them on our PBCPA team," Turner said.
