Update
KNYSNA - A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman whose body was discovered near the Red Bridge in Knysna on 12 December 2025.
Southern Cape SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Christopher Spies said in a statement that the arrest followed an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
The suspect was taken into custody last night, Thursday 1st of January 2026, and remains in police custody.
According to police, the man is expected to make his first appearance in the Knysna Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 5 January, where he will face a charge of murder.
Spies added that the investigation is still underway.
