KNYSNA NEWS - Authorities say the fire at Karatara, just outside Knysna towards Sedgefield, is currently contained and under control.
Emergency services teams from SANParks and Working on Fire are monitoring the situation.
At this stage there is no immediate threat or danger.
The heavy smoke noticed by residents is caused by the wind direction which is expected to change in a few hours.
