Weber had the honour of cutting the ribbon and unveiling the new library, together with Grizelda Baron, principal of Formosa Primary School.
A number of books were donated to the school for use in the library, prior to the official opening of the facility.
Books were donated by Rotary Club, Bitou 10 Foundation and the Western Cape Education Department (WCED).
Learners performed poems and short dramatic skits emphasising the importance of books to an appreciative audience.
The occasion concluded with an enjoyable musical performance by the Plett Field Band.
