GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Two people died in a head-on collision on the N2 near Timberlake Village between Kleinkrantz and Sedgefield at approximately 13:45 this afternoon, Sunday 19 November.
George police opened a culpable homicide docket following the incident.
"Information available from scene indicates that a Mercedes Benz with one occupant and Ford Eco Sport with four occupants collided head-on," said Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies.
Two occupants of the Ford sustained multiple injuries. They were declared dead by paramedics on scene.
The three other victims were all taken to hospital for medical care.
The cause of the accident is yet to be established. Emergency services are still on the scene.
