KNYSNA NEWS - On 18 September, Rotary Knysna in collaboration with Percy Mdala High School launched an anti-bullying awareness campaign.
The initiative aimed to implement preventive measures against bullying in schools across the Knysna area, promoting a collective and inclusive approach.
The diverse strategies employed by different schools raised awareness about the detrimental effects of bullying and promoted a supportive environment for learners.
At Percy Mdala, an interactive experience for students and administrators was organised, using creative mediums such as poems, songs, and dance performances to convey the message.
The initiative also incorporated a faith-based approach, drawing upon spiritual teachings and values to instil compassion, kindness and respect within the school community.
The campaign raised awareness about the severe consequences of bullying, highlighting the alarming rates of suicide and school dropouts associated with bullying incidents.
