UPDATE 16 July @ 12:23 - Traffic has been reopened in both directions on the N2.

KNYSNA NEWS - Protesters from Hlalani have once again closed the N2 this morning, burning tyres and other debris.

It is believed the reasons behind the protest are once again housing-related, as Hlalani-based housing projects remain unfinished. 

It is unclear when protests started, but they are still under way and public order policing (POPs) are on the scene to deal with the situation.
