PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - An 85-year-old man died during a collision on the N2 in Plettenberg Bay on Monday 8 April.
Police spokesperson Captain Marlene Pieterse said a truck had been travelling on the N2 at about 12:00 when the driver of a maroon Nissan Micra allegedly failed to stop and observe oncoming traffic.
The driver of the vehicle was turning onto the N2 at the Formosa Gardens turnoff.
"The truck collided with the vehicle on the right side and dragged it down the road. The vehicle landed on the opposite side of the road," Pieterse said.
She added that the driver of the Nissan, an 85-year-old resident of Formosa Garden Village, was declared dead on the scene. Pieterse said a case of culpable homicide was being investigated by local police.
