KNYSNA NEWS - A 17-year-old girl was hit by a white VW Jetta on Sunday, 16 June on the N2 highway (near Bokmakierie Street) and sustained multiple injuries and later succumbed to her death.
The incident occurred at about 23:50 and a 28-year-old Knysna man based in Plett was subsequently arrested and is now facing multiple charges including culpable homicide, driving under the influence and driving without a license.
According to Knysna SAPs communications official sergeant Chris Spies the man was released today and is scheduled to appear at the Knysna Magistrates Court on 19 September.
