KNYSNA NEWS - The Molosi murder case saw yet another postponement this week Thursday at the George Magistrate's Court – this time due to outstanding cellphone data records.
The three men charged with the murder – former councillor Velile Waxa, Mawande Makhala and Vela Patrick Dumile – of Victor Molosi who was shot dead outside his home in July last year, appeared briefly for what was meant to be a pretrial proceeding on Monday 20 May.
The cellphone data will be available on 1 July and the court ordered the state to let the defence have the records by 3 July.
The pretrial was then deferred until 20 August and will be heard in the George Magistrate's Court.
The proposed date for the actual trial is 7 October for a period of four weeks in the Knysna Magistrate's Court.
Waxa is still out on bail, and his co-accused remain in custody.
