KNYSNA NEWS - A case of culpable homicide was opened following the death of a 31-year-old Malawian national on Sunday, 26 November at about 20:30 in Main Road.
Initial information from ER24 indicated that a truck was involved in the collision, but according to police, this was not the case.
“There is no indication that a second vehicle was involved in this incident,” said police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies.
According to Spies, the man was travelling on a motorcycle towards Sedgefield when he hit the corner of a pavement.
“He lost control of the motorcycle and landed on the road surface. The man sustained multiple injuries and died on the scene.”
Sergeant Spies said investigation into this matter continues. The name of the deceased will be released later.
