KNYSNA NEWS - Seven months after beloved and renowned Knysna businessman Mawande Kondlo was found dead, a man has been arrested in connection with his murder.
"Extensive and intricate investigation by Knysna detectives in collaboration with Garden Route District Crime Intelligence and a private security company that monitors CCTV cameras in Knysna, yielded positive results when police arrested a 32-year old suspect in connection with the murder of 46-year old Mawande Kondlo, on Thursday 25 August," said Southern Cape police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie.
Kondlo's body was found at Bokkoppie near the Uniondale Road (R339) at 18:50 on 17 January.
A beloved member of the local tourism industry, his death sent shock waves through the town of Knysna.
Now, seven months on, the man suspected of his murder will appear in the Knysna Magistrate's Court on a charge of murder on Friday 26 August.
