KNYSNA NEWS - The number of Covid-19 cases in Knysna has risen to 315, with recorded deaths now at 9.
On 8 May, the day after the one-week travel grace period concluded, Knysna had a low total of 17 cases with only one active case at the time, 16 recoveries, and zero Covid-19-related deaths. However, two months later the figures tell an entirely different story.
As of Wednesday 8 July, Knysna has recorded a total of 315 cases, with 142 recoveries.
Knysna is the subdistrict with the third-most Covid-19 cases in the Garden Route District, behind Mossel Bay (415, 151 recoveries) and George (1084, 458 recoveries).
Bitou currently has 133 total cases, with 4 deaths and 49 recoveries.
