GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - With temperatures well into the 30s yesterday, Thursday 22 December, holidaymakers flocked to the beaches of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
It's summer, summer, summertime, and in the words of one Fresh Prince, it's time to unwind. And it seems that holidaymakers have taken this to heart.
Buffalo Bay, along with other local beaches, was packed to the rafters as temperatures reached 33°C in Knysna.
In Nature's Valley, roughly 20 minutes outside Plettenberg Bay, the little village came alive as cars from all around the country lined Lagoon Drive with their occupants lining the beautiful beaches at their disposal.
When making use of any local beaches, beachgoers are urged to exercise caution when swimming in the sea, and to only do so within the designated lifeguard areas.
