KNYSNA NEWS - There are animals who need help from the community this winter.
“Dear supporters with winter knocking on our door we would like to ask if you would consider donating one or more of the following items on our wish list. New or second hand, as long as we can assist animals in need. We will be doing a mini sterilization marathon during June, July, August and September, at our clinic, and we would love to send the sterilized animals home with some gifts,” said Knysna Animal Welfare Society (KAWS) public relations manager Retha Havenga.
“The 20 animals from specific areas has been selected for each of the planned days, so we are extremely excited that the pre-selected 80 animals will be spayed or neutered, and litters of babies prevented, before spring.”
On the KAWS wish list are:
- blankets for dogs and cats,
- dog jerseys,
- dry food for cats and dogs (for adults, puppies and kittens),
- collars and leads.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the community of Knysna as well as supporters from all over the world, for their ongoing support,” said Havenga.
