Famous artwork at valuation day

KNYSNA NEWS - This prominent work by Penny Siopis from her early-1980s cake series, belongs to a Knysna resident.

The artwork was recently estimated at R600 000 to R800 000 at a valuation day at Cearn hall, Leisure Isle. 

Funds were raised for Friends of the Knysna Library. 

Pictured here are (from left) Knysna stalwart Margaret Parkes with Strauss & Co art specialists Ian Hunter and Kristy Colledge. 

The artwork was recently estimated to be worth between R600 000 to R800 000.
