TOWN AREA
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN STR (Fri 12 January @ 10h15) - Client telephoned to report a shoplifting and pursuit. Allsound Officer responded and suspect was apprehended at the Taxi Rank. Stolen goods were recovered. No case was opened and suspect had to be released.
THEFT - WATERFRONT DR (Fri 12 January @ 15h28) - Client reported that while she was attending to customers, her cellphone and laptop were stolen from the counter. No description available.
THEFT - QUEEN STR (Fri 12 January @ 20h32) - Client reported that 2 cellphones and a purse were stolen. No suspect description available. SAPS were notified for further investigation. Allsound Officers responded to a trespassing report in town at 02h19 and suspect was apprehended and found in possession of the stolen goods from Queen street.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - TROTTER STR (Tues 16 January @ 02h37) - Resident reported an attempted break-in. Suspect opened the garage door but fled when sensor lights came on. No access gained and nothing stolen.
THEFT OUT M.V. - TROTTER STR (Tues 16 January @ 12h00) - Gentleman reported that a bag was stolen from his vehicle the previous day. Bag contained an Ipad, cash and numerous important cards including his USA Green Card. Request that officers be on the lookout.
THEFT OUT M.V. - GRAY OR FICHAT STR (Tues 16 January @ 12h30) - Client reported that their guest's vehicle was broken into in CBD. A GPS, jackets and sunhats were stolen. No case opened.
THEFT FROM M.V. - WATERFRONT DR (Tues 16 January @ 23h39) - Witness reported someone trying to break into a vehicle. Officers responded and apprehended suspect on site who had broken a tail light. Owner was notified but was unable to open a case. Suspect was released.
THEFT - THESEN HARBOUR TOWN (Wed 17 January @ 08h39) - Client phoned to report that 3 large clay pots were stolen from the back of their premises sometime during the night. Time of incident and description of suspects unknown. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / WESTHILL
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - LOWER CIRCULAR DR (Sat 13 January @ 03h14) - Client reported hearing noises at neighbouring property. Officer responded and found force marks on the front door. No access was gained, nothing stolen.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
BURGLARY - BOEKENHOUT STR (Fri 12 January @ 05h45) - ADT requested response to break-in. Suspect entered via open window and squeezed through burglar bars. Handbag, cellphone and other small items reported missing. SAPS were notified.
THEFT - KAMDEBO STR (Wed 17 January @ 09h54) - Client reported copper pipes stolen. Officer confirmed that it was Telkom cables that were cut. Law Enforcement and SAPS were notified.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - VIGILANCE DR (Thurs 11 January @ 12h10) - Client reported an attempted break-in. Several windows were smashed but no access through safety glass. No losses reported.
BURGLARY - WAENHOUT STR (Thurs 11 January @ 21h35) - Officers responded to multiple alarm triggering and confirmed suspect was still in the building. Officer entered and apprehended repeat offender inside. Suspect was handed over to SAPS and charged with Burglary.
HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD / FISHER HAVEN
THEFT OUT M.V. - BARACUDA STR (Sun 14 January @ 13h02) - Client phoned in to report that a suspect broke into his bakkie and stole a cellphone. Suspect was apprehended and cellphone recovered. Case was opened and suspect was charged.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - HUNTERS EST. DR (Mon 14 January @ 02h35) - Client telephoned to report intruder on site tried to open their door. Suspect fled when disturbed by owner. Area was searched but no one found.
LAKE BRENTON / BRENTON ON SEA
BURGLARY - WK GROBLER STR (Tues 16 January @ 17h36) - Client reported an intruder was caught on the property. Several doors of partially burned out property had been forced open. SAPS were notified and suspect was handed over and charged.
RHEENENDAL / PHANTOM RIVER
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - RHEENENDAL RD (Fri 12 January @ 06h41) - Client requested assistance after reports of intruder reaching through a window. Officer was dispatched to assist search surrounding area. Suspects were not found.
THEFT OUT M.V. - RHEENENDAL RD (Sat 13 January @ 13h25) - Client reported that a guests' vehicle was broken into during the night. A macAir laptop, cellphone, tablet and jacket were reported missing. SAPS had been notified for a case to be opened.
