KNYSNA NEWS - The Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) has said the fire in Karatara has now claimed a further four lives, bringing the total lives lost in the blaze to eight.
During a fire coordination Joint Operations Centre (JOC) meeting at 19:00 on tonight, 29 October, said the GRDM statement, role-players were informed by police officials of more shocking news - the total fatalities in the Karatara area has increased to eight (8) people.
"An additional loss of one (1) adult and three (3) children have been confirmed," the statement said.
