On Tuesday, June 24 at about 10:30, the Tsitsikamma K9 Unit noticed a white Nissan Sentra near the toll gate on the N2 highway and stopped the vehicle. On the backseat and in the boot several bags of dagga (about 82kg) with an estimated street value of about R122 000 were found.
The driver of the vehicle, who was on his way to Kwanokuthula, was arrested on the scene.
Brigadier Victoria Mavakala, acting cluster commander for George, commended the vigilant member and the Tsitsikamma K9 Unit. She emphasised that the police are dedicated to eradicate drugs in the province, including drugs coming into the province, in an effort to create a safer environment for communities.

Several bags of dagga were found in the car.
