PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a cyclist succumbed to his injuries following an accident on the N2 near KwaNokuthula last week.
Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies said the incident happened on Tuesday 11 October at about 10:20 on the highway outside Plettenberg Bay on the way to Knysna.
"Information available indicates that a vehicle was travelling towards Knysna when it struck the bicycle,” Spies said.
The victim, Sarel Liebenberg (83), sustained multiple injuries. He was later declared dead by medical personnel.
Investigation into the matter continues.
