Advertorial
KNYSNA BUSINESS NEWS - Twenty years ago, Tony Buchalter, the owner of Sam’s Clothing, started selling secondhand clothing at the Knysna Taxi rank. Upon realising the need for good quality clothing at affordable prices he then opened a shop in the storage garages under Knysna Toyota (then Bern’s), and as the business expanded this resulted in additional stores opening in George, Sedgefield, Plettenberg Bay and Oudtshoorn.
Today, exactly 20 years later, there are five Sam's Clothing stores selling new clothing, and two stores selling secondhand clothing in Knysna and in George.
“There was a time when many people believed that Sam’s Clothing only sold secondhand clothing,” explains Tony. “We then separated the two shops, with 2nd Hand Sam’s moving to the Oude Fabriek, and the new clothing being housed in Sammy-D Clothing. This was to draw a concrete line between the new and the used-clothing stores.”
Huge sale
As part of our 20th birthday celebrations, we are branding the Sammy-D in Knysna as Sam’s New Clothing to unite the five stores. To celebrate, we are offering many items on SALE. Do not miss out!
We are running a HUGE SALE, not only on the last of the bestsellers, but have selected and included recent stock that has just arrived. We are also giving a FREE gift of two pairs of socks, or two kiddies gloves for any sale over R150 (while stocks last).
We carry a lot of chain store overruns and slight imperfects and are able to sell them at well below market price. These chain store overruns consist of clothing from large retail chains such as Woolworths, Truworths, Identity and Mr Price.
We also supply nurse’s uniforms in bulk to organisations and know we have the best value and price in the Garden Route. We can supply Staff uniforms for many businesses and we will gladly source any of your requirements.
