This weekend, Saturday 3 November saw the organisation host its second annual Pinnacle Point Charity Golf Tournament in aid of the Reformed Church Youth fundraising project. This particular project aims to raise much needed funds for a variety of organisations serving the broader community of the Garden Route, specifically Mossel Bay, George and Ruiterbos.
This year, the fundraising project extends helping hands towards the Ruiterbos Primary School; Sipucule Nursery School and the Alma Clinic Baby Department, both situated in KwaNonqaba, Mossel Bay; El Shaddai Life Recovery Centre in George and the Reformed Church: Youth.
"We are very pleased at the growth of this charity golf tournament, in as much that we are able to apply the funds across a number of areas where needs have been identified," says Jim Julyan, Chairman of the Golf Committee and Board Member of the Pinnacle Point Home Owners Association.
New golf cars
Another highlight, perfectly timed to coincide with and in celebration of this weekend's charity golf tournament, was the acceptance of 50 brand-new Club Car golf cars at Pinnacle Point. CSE Equipment in George who closed the deal, has been well established in the South African market for 48 years. With five South African branches situated in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pinetown, Port Elizabeth and George, as well as one in Namibia, each branch has a fully equipped service centre.
Products sold include Club Car golf cars, Jacobsen, Ransome, Cushman, Redexim, Smithco and Ryan turf equipment.
Newly added to the product range at CSE George, is Case Construction Equipment.
"When Pinnacle Point opened some seven years ago, CSE had the wonderful opportunity of supplying them with a fleet of golf cars and turf machines," says John Deetlefs, Branch Manager, CSE Equipment George. "When the fleet came up for replacement, we pulled out all the stops to secure an ongoing relationship with this acclaimed golf resort."
"With this new fleet, we are able to offer our clients the five star golfing experience they've come to expect at Pinnacle Point," says Nic Grundtvig, Director of Golf. "We are in a fortunate position where we are able to not only secure a new fleet of golf cars, but have further plans to continue to develop the facilities on the Estate."
