PLETTENBERG BAY BUSINESS NEWS - Mediclinic Plettenberg Bay is currently busy with a long-term project to upgrade and broaden the facilities available at the hospital.
The upgrades include an additional laminar flow theatre as well as a new pharmacy for the hospital. Following this, the emergency centre will undergo renovations as well as expansion of the facilities.
The improvements to the hospital are expected to be complete by the end of February 2019. Hospital general manager Girlie Lubbe believes the community will gain from the investment being made into the hospital. "Mediclinic Plettenberg Bay will now offer urology, ophthalmology, ENT as well as paediatric disciplines, all adding to the services currently available at the hospital," Lubbe says.
"Understanding and meeting our community's needs is a key priority and we are excited about the improvements being made at our hospital to better cater for these needs.

"Mediclinic Plettenberg Bay has been consciously striving to better hear the voice of our patients, and the experience they have in our hospital. Our patients are constantly providing us input through the patient experience surveys completed after discharge, allowing us and other Mediclinic hospitals to better understand where we can improve their experience, while also making sure that we are meeting their expectations," says Lubbe.
