GARDEN ROUTE BUSINESS NEWS - The George Strawberry Festival presented by Ola kicks off the school holidays on a sweet note! 

Come and join us at Redberry Farm in George on 29 and 30 September for a festive weekend of family fun.

There are over 50 attractions and programme highlights to look forward to, featuring music, culinary treats, sports and family entertainment.

Attractions include the François Ferreira Strawberry Food Theatre in partnership with Gastaos; "local is lekker: with musicians such as Kloudink, Cloud 9 and Adin Walls; CrossFit's fittest in the Garden Route competition; the sweetest run ever with our 5km and 9km trail run through the strawberry and kiwi fields; helicopter flips by Blue Sky Aviation; outdoor country market with good food and handcrafted products; dance performances; and the Algoa FM top 30 broadcast live with Wayne Hart.

Our berry fun for the young festivalgoers includes kids' strawberry and ice-cream eating competitions; Redberry Farm activities; temporary glitter tattoos and face painting; Hentie's Kids' Play Park with a range of inflatables, as well as the Hentie's puppet show. Other events are Catch the Ace Models Miss Strawberry pageant, the Mascot Parade and a live performance from Lollos.

The McDonald's Games Garden offers fun family lawn games such as sumo suits, giant bowling and plenty more. Pick strawberries in the fields, and participate in the Redberry Farm Strawberry eat-off and stomping competitions for a chance to win berry sweet prizes!
