BUSINESS NEWS - Each year, Mediclinic takes a special day out to recognise our nurses and their amazing contribution within our community.
While we acknowledge that the last two years have been challenging for all healthcare workers around the world, we are grateful to take this opportunity to shine the light on the invaluable nursing teams within our hospitals.
This year, as we celebrate International Nurses’ Day on 12 May 2022, we recognise each nurse who has chosen a career of caring for others.
It's not a task that can be ticked off on a ‘to do’ list, nor can it be measured, like blood pressure. Caring can’t be studied in a textbook nor captured on a CV.
But it can be seen and felt by those who receive this care, and it is impossible to miss. We recognise these unmistakeable carers within our hospitals.
Each year, staff within each Mediclinic locality select a Nursing Excellence Award winner, nominated by their peers in recognition for the selfless work they invest in caring for patients.
At Mediclinic Plettenberg Bay, we would like to acknowledge all our nurses and specifically our nominees for the annual 2022 Nursing Excellence Award.
We recognise that their care for others is the reason our patients visit our hospitals and trust our expertise.
We specifically acknowledge our recipient of the 2022 Nursing Excellence Award, Odile Speelman who receives this symbol of appreciation and recognition for the care she delivers to her patients and supporting her colleagues during an exceptionally challenging era in healthcare. We congratulate Odile, winner of this special award at Mediclinic Plettenberg Bay.
