The Knysna Forest Marathon starting gun sounded at 07:00 today, 5 July, in the Knysna forest. Nearly 8 000 runners got off to a cold start heading for the finish at the Knysna High School sports fields. Tsepo Mathibelle was the first to cross the line in the 42km and Dané Cronjé the first woman past the line in the 42km. In the half marathon Lloyd Bosman took first place and Ebeth Marais was the first woman to cross.
