KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna's world-renowned charcoal artist, Gary Davis, will be bringing the art gallery at the Old Gaol back to life from 18 December to 8 January, with his Essence of Charcoal exhibition.
On display will be 60 pieces of art, which are a reflection of the past 10 years of his life, including his experience during the lockdown this year, during which he created more than 30 works of art.
Davis has been hard at work refurbishing the gallery at the Old Gaol for more than a year, and had to postpone the exhibition from May to December owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.
His work will be on display for three weeks, starting with a VIP viewing on 17 December, and will be open for public viewing from 18 December, Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 to 16:00.
