PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Six schools from Knysna and Plettenberg Bay took part in the Knysna-Plett School Sports netball trials at Wittedrift High School on Monday 17 March.
Three teams of seven in the u.16, u.17 and u.18 age groups will be chosen to go to the Eden netball trials, to be held on 11 and 12 April.
"The top players per age group of each school are participating today (Monday). The standard is very high," said Tania Lombard, a teacher from Knysna High School and the schools netball coordinator.
Nearly 50 players from Murray High School, Knysna Secondary School, Knysna High School, Wittedrift High School, Plettenberg Bay Secondary School and Greenwood Bay College took part in the trials.
Competition was fierce among the players. After Monday, 21 "deserved" players will head for the Eden trials.
