NATIONAL NEWS - Well-known businessman and former Springbok rugby player, Ockie Oosthuizen, has passed away after a short battle with colon cancer.
He was 64.
Oosthuizen made his international debut for the Springboks in 1981 against Ireland.
He lived in Stellenbosch, where he owned a wine farm, and often vacationed locally at his holiday home in Herold's Bay.
Since the news of his passing broke, tribues to Oosthuizen have been pouring in on social media. On Twitter, Kobus Wiese wrote: “Ockie Oosthuizen sadly passed away this morning, Mooi loop Ockie”.
