PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Plettenberg Bay police are urgently looking for 30 volunteers to join the fold as reservists.
Plettenberg Bay police spokesman Captain Marlene Pieterse said they were looking for volunteers between the ages of 20 and 50.
“Reservists, after completion of six months training, are clothed in full police uniform and carry same arresting and confiscation powers as any police member when on duty. Training will include firearm handling,” Pieterse said.
She added recruits would be placed with Plettenberg Bay police and must perform a minimum of 16 hours per month.
She added all applicants must be between 20 and 50 years of age, be in possession of a matric certificate, must have a permanent job and be in possession of a valid driver’s licence.
