KNYSNA NEWS - The new Acting Director of Corporate Services (ADCS) at Knysna Municipality, Luvuyo Loliwe, officially took charge of the directorate on Monday 22 August.
Loliwe was appointed in a special council meeting on Friday 12 August along with a new acting chief financial officer, Londiwe Sotshede.
The position of director of corporate services has been vacant since the departure of Phumla Makoma in October 2021, and the previous ADCS, Melony Paulsen, is leaving Knysna Municipality at the end of August to take up the position of director of community services in Bitou Municipality.
Loliwe previously held the position of senior manager of legal services at Bitou Municipality.
"He will be seconded by inter-governmental arrangement to the Knysna Municipality for a period of three months or until the position of director of corporate services is filled, whichever comes first. He will commence service on Monday 22 August," said Knysna Municipality spokesperson Christopher Bezuidenhoudt last week, after the announcement of Loliwe's appointment.
