KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Education Trust (KET) is thrilled to announce the expansion of our home base with three new offices at Melrose House, a historic building KET proudly restored in 2021 with generous support from the local community and nationally based partners.
Melrose House has long served educational causes, and we are excited to continue and expand on that legacy as a cradle-to-career hub for Knysna's children.
The need for additional office space arose due to the expansion of our tenant, KILT's team. We at KET are deeply grateful to CIC Construction for their exceptional work in building these new offices.
CSI donation
Not only did they complete the project efficiently and on time, but they also made a wonderful Corporate Social Investment (CSI) donation by discounting their professional fees, allowing KET to stay within the project build's very tight budget.
CIC's support over the years has been instrumental. Seven years ago, they helped KET establish our model preschool in Khayelethu - The Learning Tree.
This proud project provides quality learning to preschool children and is a practical learning environment for student teachers and affiliated preschools in Knysna. We appreciate CIC Construction's continuous commitment to helping us create a positive impact in the greater Knysna community.
