KNYSNA NEWS - Construction of three brand new offices, a conference room and the upgrading of the existing ablution facilities has started at the Knysna Taxi Rank. This project valued at approximately R2 million is expected to be completed by April this year.
Knysna Executive Mayor, Mark Willemse said he is pleased that the project has come to its implementation phase. ”The municipality has had various engagements with the Knysna Taxi Association and both parties have come to an agreement which will benefit the Knysna commuter community.
“Hundreds of people make use of the Taxi Rank on a daily basis. We have experienced problems in the past with the public toilets at the Taxi Rank and the upgrading will ensure that commuters have proper and adequate ablution facilities. This project will add value to the revitalisation of the precinct around the taxi rank.
