GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - The George Strawberry Festival presented by Ola is all set for a magnificent family weekend of strawberries, outdoor activities, good food, live shows and epic sports on 29 and 30 September at Redberry Farm.
A classic feature is the outdoor country market offering more than 80 stalls and culinary treats. Enter the free strawberry and ice-cream eat-off competitions and strawberry stomping.
Celebrity chef François Ferreira will be cooking up a storm at the Strawberry Food Theatre, giving foodies a bite of something strawberry-licious with a take-home recipe.
Visit Monet's Restaurant at Fancourt and 101 Meade Restaurant as they will prepare mouth-watering once-off strawberry dishes for Strawberry Restaurant Week, valid from 24 to 30 September.

The Henties Kids Play Park features an assortment of inflatables and a soft play area. Free shows throughout the weekend feature Lollos, a puppet show, balloon twisters, face painters, mascots, and the Ace Models Miss Strawberry pageant.
Sports events such as the 9km trail run or 5km run / walk take you on a scenic route through the strawberry fields. CrossFit George's Fittest in the Garden Route takes place throughout Saturday to determine who will be named the leanest athlete of 2018.
Enjoy live performances by local singers / songwriters and bands while relaxing in the beer garden. The McDonald's Games Garden offers an assortment of games such as Berry Twister, Giant Jenga, croquet and boules. An airsoft arena offers another activity for all ages. Wine pairings are available throughout the weekend at Houtbosch's tasting room, and Algoa FM's Wayne Hart will be broadcasting live from 09:00 to 12:00 on the Saturday.
