NATIONAL NEWS - No load shedding is expected for today (Monday 21 October), and the chance of power cuts for the rest of the week remains low.
This according to Eskom, who said in a statement that several units were returned to service after planned and unplanned maintenance.
However, the electricity supplier urged residents to use electricity sparingly, as the power system is still vulnerable and under constraint.
"While we are making an effort to avoid load shedding, it could be implemented at short notice should there be a significant shift in plant performance and increased unplanned technical breakdowns," Eskom warned.
