PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Plett Rage celebrates 25 years as South Africa's leading student festival in 2025, having safely hosted more than 100 000 participants and earned the trust of parents nationwide.
The festival has grown 25% over the last year and will accommodate about 3 500 students and 25 000 bed nights for Plett from 28 November (today) to 5 December.
"From sun-soaked days at the iconic Bikini Beach to epic Coco Valley nights with favourite music legends on stage, it's all waiting for you," said Xavier Dragner, the Rage's marketing lead.
"Safety remains the festival's top priority, with a continued commitment to the well-being of every participant and the peace of mind of both students and their families."
Safety app
This year's event will see the introduction of the Buzzer App, an essential community safety app for Plett Student Week 2025. The app is supported by Plett Rage, Plett Security, Medilife911, RedFrogs, Amplified and Plett Shepherds.
"Buzzer will keep participants connected with individuals and allows them to call for help if needed," said Dragner. "Buzzer's SafeTrack feature lets parents know when their child enters or leaves saved places in and around Plettenberg Bay. It has an emergency SOS button that connects them directly to Plett Responders for immediate assistance."
