KNYSNA NEWS - Registered citizens over the age of 60 queued since 06:00 this morning at the Knysna town hall to receive their Covid-19 vaccinations.
With only 200 Pfizer vaccinations available at the facility today, 10 June, the quota was reached at about 10:00.
Another 200 vaccinations will be available at the venue tomorrow, 11 June, when vaccinations will again commence at 09:00.
A shortage of vaccines has impacted on the roll-out in the area and according to Department of Health spokesperson Nadia Ferreira, more vaccination venues could be made available depending on the number of vaccines received.
The department will announce the additional dates and venues as soon as possible.
