SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - The annual Christian Motorcycle Association's Blanket Run is once again upon us.
This special event aims to bring blankets to the poorest people in society to provide for the winter months ahead. The CMA choose every year a different village in recent years has provided blankets to communities in Oudtshoorn, George, Knysna and Mossel Bay.
"It is our experience that this run every year with rapi
dly growing," says Koos Barnard of the CMA. "Last year we had over 500 blankets in this way collected and delivered."
The CMA hopes that this year will be no exception and the event on Sunday, May 20th presented. The community of Plettenberg Bay, this year provided blankets.
"We appeal to all motorcycle clubs and bikers in the southern Cape and surrounding areas at this event support. Please bring blankets and ensure that Plett's people this winter, warm sleep. The public, businesses and churches are also invited to submit their weight behind the effort to throw. "
Blankets may be May 20 at the Bikers Church in George Inddustria handed. Transport has been arranged for the blankets. Pastor Paul Williams to the delivery of blankets contacted at 082 565 2319.
Motorcyclists who want to ride are requested to have at 09:00 at the Bikers Church in George together. Here all the blankets on a trailer loaded for transport to Plettenberg Bay. The motorcycles will depart at 10:00 to Plettenberg Bay.
