SEDGEFIELD NEWS FLASH - A Fairbrother Geotechnical Engineering team was seen conducting soil density

Foreman Jan Nuiwenhuizen explained the company was conducting these tests for a project that would see the construction of a new bridge across the water canal linking Langvlei to Rondervlei.
This bridge will form part of the upgrade of the dirt roads within the
Rondevlei area.
According to Hans Ottervanger, Eden District Municipality's senior roads services manager, this project falls under the Western Cape Provincial Roads Department.
"They are only busy with the designs at this stage. After the designs are approved, the costing will take place, whereafter it will be put on a priority list for funding." Ottervanger said at this stage it is not possible to provide a date on which this project will start.
"Remember, after the design we still need to go through an environmental impact assessment process. In my mind I cannot see that we will start before the end of 2018."
