The 52-year-old man, who is currently out on bail, appeared in the Knysna Regional Court yesterday, Monday, January 19, but the matter was postponed to April 15 for the trial to commence.
There have been several postponements since his arrest on August 21, 2013 - two days after the school's principal allegedly caught him red-handed molesting the young learner.
He was originally charged with the indecent assault of a minor, but this was later changed to a charge of rape.
