Knysna Police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies said the suspects appeared in the Knysna Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, January 15. "The suspects were released and warned to appear in court again on Tuesday, January 27. The investigation has not been concluded yet. New information are being followed-up."
Spies said: "It is alleged that the incidents in the Main Street, Knysna took place on Sunday, December 28 at about 02:00 and that the suspects damaged pot plants on the pavement next to the Main Street and broke a window of a shop.”
The Knysna in Bloom project won the Proudly Knysna Category in the 2014 Sanlam Knysna Awards.
The Knysna Detective Branch is investigating three cases of malicious damage to property. Two of the pots were totally destroyed and the others vandalised.
