KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna residents are warned that there seems to be a 'stomach bug' prevalent at the moment.
According to health authorities the first cases were reported two weeks ago and appeared to have been caused by either a bacterial or viral infection. Patients were prescribed antibiotics.
Says Hunter's Estate Pharmacy's Pieter Reynecke, "Last week the bug appeared to be prevalent among children, with more cases of nausea than diarrhoea."
He said there had been no reports at his pharmacy this week.
"It comes and goes every six weeks or so, but there's always something going around."
