KNYSNA NEWS FLASH -
"I send my congratulations and best wishes to you on such a special occasion," reads a congratulatory letter from Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.
The queen sent this special letter to the honoured recipients, Beryl and Alex Smith for their diamond wedding anniversary on May 10. "I am so pleased to know that you are celebrating your diamond wedding anniversary on 10 May, 2012," the letter continues.
The happy Knysna couple were both born in Manchester, England, and emigrated to South Africa six weeks after their marriage in 1952.
